About
The people behind Sauna Batam
Sauna Batam is a sauna, steam room and cold plunge contractor registered as a PT PMA, with three years of building cabins in a tropical climate. The workshop and spares store are in Batam Kota, so a survey anywhere on the island is scheduled within one to three working days and a service call is measured in hours. Heaters are Harvia, Sawo and Tylo.

Why the workshop is on the island, not in Java
Custom sauna Indonesia work is usually sold from Jakarta or Surabaya and delivered by a crew that flies in, stays in a hotel and bills for both. On an island that costs the client twice: once in the quote and again every time something needs attention afterwards. We took the other route and put the workshop, the crew and the spares store in Batam Kota.
The practical difference shows up in small things. A survey in Nongsa or Sekupang happens this week rather than when a team is next scheduled. Panels are cut, dry-assembled and corrected here, so what arrives at your house has already been built once. And when a controller fails in the second year, a technician drives over instead of waiting for a sailing from Jakarta.
How we work with the climate, the grid and the free trade zone
Three constraints shape every job here, and we would rather explain them before the deposit than after. Humidity between 73 and 96 per cent means a vapour barrier and a ventilation gap are not optional. Sea air means stainless hardware on anything within reach of the spray. Domestic supplies of 2,200-5,500 VA mean the honest recommendation is sometimes an infrared cabin rather than the hot room you asked about.
The free trade zone works in your favour. Imported heaters and timber reach Batam without the duty and tax layer that applies on the mainland, which is why a locally built cabin can use European hardware without an absurd price. What it costs instead is time: four to fourteen days at sea and paperwork that has to be right, both written into the schedule from the start.
Who does the work and what the warranty covers
A small permanent team: a joinery crew in Batam Kota, an electrician who does every heater connection, a plumber for plunge and steam work, and one manager who answers WhatsApp and attends surveys. That manager stays with your project from the first photograph to the test heat-up, which is why the answers you get are consistent.
The warranty is two years on structure and installation, with the heater carrying its own factory cover of one to two years. Spares live in our store on the island. Prices are indicative until the survey, then fixed in the itemised quote; you can read the ranges on the pricing page or go straight to booking a survey.
Send three photos and we will send a range back
A villa in Nongsa, a health club in Nagoya or an empty room in a Sukajadi cluster: three photos and your VA rating are enough for a first estimate.
